Bella Gets A Lesson In Being Human In New 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Clip

The bites just keep on coming for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." Just yesterday we drooled over the pretty pink interiors of the littlest Cullen's bedroom, and today, we're getting a sneak peek (courtesy of ET Online) at newborn bloodsucker Bella on her first day enrolled in Being Human101.

In the clip, the Cullens, including Alice, Esme, Carlisle, Rosalie and Edward, are instructing Bella how to blend in. The keys? Move slowly, blink at least three times a minute, move your shoulders so it looks like you're breathing, and don't sit so straight. See, super-easy stuff.

Of course, Jacob (the only human in the room) isn't buying it, but we have plenty of faith in vampire Bella, so butt out, wolf! Check out the comical moment below!

Once you've watched this latest sneak peek from the film franchise's finale, be sure to head on over to twilight.mtv.com to cast your vote for the No. 1 character in Stephenie Meyer's canon—a little contest we're calling The Twi-Fight Saga!

'The Carrie Diaries' Casts A Broadway Boy

Hollywood Crush

'The Carrie Diaries' Casts A Broadway Boy

Kyle HarrisWe've peeped the premiere, we've chatted up the leading lady, and we've ogled the bejeezus out of the awesome 1980s-era fashion in its first crop of publicity stills... yep, it's safe to say that we're pret—ty psyched for "The Carrie Diaries" to make its premiere on The CW in January. And since no "Sex and the City" prequel would be complete without a crop of fresh-faced young gentlemen to break the hearts (or, um, the beds) of its female characters, the show has been busy rounding up some eligible bachelors to round out its cast. The latest? Kyle Harris, who, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will be joining the show for regular appearances as boyfriend to Carrie's BFF Mouse.

Kyle is a Broadway actor making his debut on the small screen, but he's got plenty of practice in making the ladies swoon; among other things, he's just concluded a stint in the national touring cast of "West Side Story." (We'd happily rumble on the streets of New York with him anytime.)

If you want a peek at the cast in action, you can watch them doing their thing in the preview for the show's first episode below.

Peep A Preview Of Naya Rivera's 'This Is How I Made It' Episode

"Glee" star Naya Rivera may be a fan favorite among devotees of Fox's song-and-dance series, but for many years, the starlet struggled to get work in Hollywood because of her perceived racial ambiguity. She opens up about those rough years in tomorrow's brand-new episode of "This Is How I Made It." Watch a preview below!

"I am half Puerto Rican, a quarter German and a quarter black. That was always a big issue for me — being mixed race — because casting directors tended to be very like, 'OK, are you Hispanic for this role?' 'Or is she going to be African American?'" Naya recalled. "So, it was really tough and work started to show down. From the time I was 16 to really up until turning 21, the roles were really, really few and far between."

Hear the rest of Naya's story on Saturday's "This Is How I Made It," airing on MTV at 12/11c.

Halloween Costume How-To: Take Sweet 'Revenge' As Nolan Ross

Hollywood Crush

Halloween Costume How-To: Take Sweet 'Revenge' As Nolan Ross

by Melissa Albert

You don't need a Midas-sized bank account to dress like snarky "Revenge" billionaire Nolan Ross—just a lot of collared shirts. Whether hacking into Grayson Global, hanging with revenge-obsessed gal pal Amanda Clarke or awkwardly hugging his bro-crush, Jack, Nolan always projects the perfect blend of man-child innocence and software-genius smugness. And because nothing says "give me the good candy" like dressing up as everybody's favorite Hamptons mogul, here's how you cop Nolan's style this Halloween.

The look starts with a super-bright polo, and continues with the all-important SECOND polo, complete with snappy stripes. Make sure both collars are visible and seriously popped. We think the teal in this one ($14.99, Old Navy) will bring out Nolan's, er, your eyes, but you can also find a goldmine of cheap polo shirts at every single thrift store ever. Top off your tops with an east coast-casual blazer. For ladies rocking the look, we think this lemon-yellow one ($39.94, Old Navy) is very "Nolan on a yacht," but if you've got a khaki or charcoal gray in your closet, that's just as good. Now pull on a pair of khaki pants, or go for a subtle pinstripe ($29.90, Forever 21).

Alternatively, if you don't feel like wearing pants at all, just put on your best Jockeys and go as "Nolan smirking at his peons over webcam." (When nobody gets it, remind them that billionaires play by different rules.) Finish the look with a pair of two-tone boat shoes ($24, JCPenney): perfect for lounging and perfect for sneaking around the white-haired man's murder complex.

Almost as important as the shirt stacking is the hair. While this year Nolan is rocking a flattering crop, we're still partial to last season's Bieber-on-a-bender shag. If you've got bangs, brush them forward and FLUFF. If not, consider investing in this amazingly appropriately named "shag man" wig—just 20 bucks!

Now practice the dry, hilarious one-liners you'll be using all night. Feels good to be Nolan, right?

Go Back To The '80s With New 'Carrie Diaries' Photos

As an adult, Carrie Bradshaw writes for Vogue. As a teen, she just, well, vogues.

The cast of the upcoming CW series "The Carrie Diaries" are striking their best poses in a fresh batch of publicity photos released by the network today, and they couldn't be cuter. From left to right we have: Katie Findlay as Maggie; Brendan Dooling as Walt, Ellen Wong as Mouse, AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie, Austin Butler as Sebastian, and Freema Agyeman as Larissa.

The series, which will debut in January 2013, follows Carrie as she falls in love for the first time—with Manhattan. So it was fitting that the cast and crew gathered in New York City on Monday for "The Carrie Diaries" world premiere at the New York Television Festival.

While there, we caught up with Carrie herself, AnnaSophia, and couldn't help but wonder aloud what her favorite "Sex and the City" episode is.

"There's different parts of the show I just love," she told us. "There's one where Carrie is dating Berger, and they're fighting, and [a character in his book] has the scrunchie in her hair, and [Carrie] says, 'Your book is great, but no New York woman would ever wear a scrunchie'... I think it's so funny because I love scrunchies."

I bet we'll see at least a couple in this '80s-set series!

'Pretty Little Liars' Boss Teases Significance Of 'Red Is The New Black'

'Pretty Little Liars' Boss Teases Significance Of 'Red Is The New Black'

If you visit Rosewood on a regular basis, you've likely heard the news that our "Pretty Little Liars" will soon learn that former-good-guy Toby is actually part of the nefarious A Team. (A fact viewers discovered during the cliff-hanger mid-season finale back in August.) But when we caught up with executive producer I. Marlene King on the orange carpet for the series' Halloween special, she dished a few previously unknown details from the new episodes debuting in 2013.

"I think what people don't know, which we haven't talked about before tonight, is that you will find out in season 3B why red is the new black," she divulged. "We've teased that all throughout season 3A—'Red is the new black.' You'll find out in season 3 what that means and why."

Marlene dropped another hint that leads us to believe the phrase may have something to do with Alison's alter ego Vivian Darkbloom.

"There will be a new iconic image in our show, which sort of transcends the black hoodie," she added. Could the red in question refer to the scarlet-colored trench coat Alison wore as part of her disguise (which the girls claimed from the dry cleaners during "The Naked Truth")?

You'll have to tune into "Pretty Little Liars" when it returns in the New Year to find out for sure!

Justin Bieber Swaggin' It Out With Oprah

3...2..Swaggy!

Justin Bieber took to Oprah Winfrey's couch today to film an episode of her OWN series "Oprah's Next Chapter," which will air November 25. The singer and the TV host mugged for the camera following their chit-chat, which we're sure included an in-depth discussion of the Biebs' coiffure and relationship with fellow pop tart Selena Gomez (oh, we hope!).

Oprah also signed on to the social networking site to hype the interview, in addition to documenting her time at his show the night before. "BELIEVE concert so impressive . Thanks for a SUPER FUN nite Can't wait to talk to you tomorrow!" she wrote.

So... is it November 25 yet?

'Carrie Diaries' Star AnnaSophia Robb On Her Fave 'Sex And The City' Episode

We couldn't help but wonder—while on the pink carpet at last night's world premiere of the upcoming CW series "The Carrie Diaries"—whether we'd adore teenage Carrie Bradshaw as much as 30-something Carrie Bradshaw. Though we'll have to wait until the show's television debut in January to answer that question, we can tell you that the beautiful starlet who plays the high-school version of our favorite Manhattanite is one likeable lady—who has plenty of love for the original HBO series.

In fact, when we chatted up AnnaSophia Robb, she told us that although she was too young to watch the series during its original run (she wasn't even five years old when "SATC" debuted in the summer of 1998), she's since watched every episode and has many favorites. Her favoritest of all? You'll have to click play on the clip above to find out, but here's a hint: it involves a scrunchie and a man named after a sandwich.

Meanwhile, co-star Freema Agyeman (who plays fashion editor Larissa) cited "They Shoot Single People, Don't They?" as her ultimate, while "Carrie Diaries" writer and executive producer Candace Bushnell simply quoted the line, "He stole my Choo!"

Get 'Struck By Lightning' With New Trailer For Chris Colfer Film

Struck by LightningIf you were wondering whether Chris Colfer's particular brand of artistic genius could flow just as beautifully from the tips of his fingers as it does from his precious larynx, then here's your answer: Yup. The new trailer for "Struck by Lightning" hit the web today, and Chris's debut as a screenwriter is just as buoyant, sharp, and painfully funny as his breakout performance on "Glee." Maybe even buoyant-er. Really!

We grinned all the way through this second peek at the film, which Chris both wrote and starred in, and which offers up a brand of delightfully dark humor that'll make you laugh and wince in equal measures. In it, Chris plays a driven young man who will stop at nothing, not even the commission of felonies, in pursuit of his lifelong dream to become the editor of the New Yorker—and who resorts to blackmailing his classmates in order to beef up his college applications.

And with a supporting cast that includes Allison Janney, Christina Hendricks, and best of all, our favorite girlcrush Rebel Wilson, this movie looks seriously promising. Keep your eyes peeled: "Struck by Lightning" should be hitting theaters sometime in December.

'Divergent' Casting: 5 Picks For Four

Hollywood Crush

'Divergent' Casting: 5 Picks For Four

For fans of Veronica Roth's "Divergent," the wait for a movie adaptation of the beloved dystopian YA thriller has been defined by brief moments of wild excitement followed by long, painful silences in which nothing happens, there is no news at all, and seriously Hollywood what are you trying to do to us WE CANNOT STAND IT ANYMORE. But at last, things seem to be moving forward: September brought reports that a release date has been set for 2014, and yesterday, rumors surfaced that Shailene Woodley is in talks for the lead role of Tris. Which means that now is the perfect time to dial up our "Divergent" obsession to 11 and offer up five strapping young actors who could play opposite Shailene (or whomever!) in the role of Four.

If you haven't read the books, some background: Four is the enigmatic Dauntless instructor who guides Tris through the dangerous initiation into her new faction. He's brave, bold, mysterious and—of course—a sexy beast of the highest caliber. So, who's on our shortlist of potential actors to play the role? Check it!

Steven R. McQueen

This exceptionally handsome gent is a "Vampire Diaries" veteran, but he's only barely dipped his toe into the waters of big-screen roles. What better transition than the familiar ground of another YA book adaptation?

Jesse Williams

Okay, we'll admit it: At 31, Jesse may be a teensy bit old at this point to pass as an 18-year-old onscreen...but with the role of Four calling for dark hair, piercing blue eyes and a certain gravitas, he's certainly packing a lot of, um, qualifications.

Matthew Lewis

After years of playing the overlooked, doofy Neville Longbottom in the "Harry Potter" franchise, Matthew is perfectly positioned to step into the spotlight as the star of the "Divergent" adaptation. And considering that he's become a bona fide hunk of late, all he'd need for this one is an American accent.

Diego Boneta

From bit parts in "Pretty Little Liars" to his big breakout in "Rock of Ages," Diego has been an impressive new presence in Hollywood of late; we like him so much, we even added him to the cast of our new show, "Underemployed." But hey, if Hollywood wants him to ride the Dauntless train, we'd offer him a ride to the station.

Alex Pettyfer

After getting passed over twice as a possible contender for major roles in "The Hunger Games," Alex deserves a serious look for the next big YA book-to-movie adaptation. Plus, he is number four, you know.

Which of our picks do you like best for Four? Have any ideas of your own? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

'Warm Bodies' EXCLUSIVE: Fall In Love With The Movie Poster!

Warm Bodies movie posterThe zombie apocalypse is nigh!

...Okay. Sure. Mankind's total annihilation doesn't actually begin until February 1, 2013, but we're giving you a sneak peek of the bloody, brain-slurping carnage—wrapped in an ooey, gooey love story—to come. Now doesn't that sound nice?

Feast your eyes on the one-sheet for the upcoming horror-romance "Warm Bodies," starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer. Based on the novel by Isaac Marion, the story revolves around zombie R (Nicholas) who rescues a human girl (Teresa) from attack and ends up falling in love with her. Just the kind of dashing suitor you want to take home to Mom and Dad, right?

The film adaptation is directed by Jonathan Levine, who made us cry until it hurt with the 2011 film "50/50." MTV News hopped on the phone with Jonathan to get his take on the eye-popping poster.

"I think it captures the tone of the movie really nicely," he said. "It's iconic, it's irreverent, it's got a sense of humor about itself, and yet it's got heart. I'm really happy with it, and I can't wait to see it on a subway or billboard. It's very striking."

Style Superstar: Naya Rivera's Serene Simplicity

Hollywood Crush

Style Superstar: Naya Rivera's Serene Simplicity

Fashionistas, take note: This is how you win (and lose) points for presentation. Naya Rivera showed up to the Elle Women in Hollywood party this wee, and left with the Style Superstar title—all for taking the most understated of looks and wearing it with polished poise, which was eye-catching in a way that outshone anyone else's spangled accents or bright colors.

Naya donned a pale yellow Moschino shift dress for the event, pairing it with burgundy peep-toe pumps, delicate minimal jewelery and a matching clutch. It's hardly a groundbreaking outfit, and the dress is as simple as they come, but it flatters the actress' figure beautifully—and every other part of her look, from the bag to the shoes to her makeup, is in perfect harmony. (Look at her! She doesn't have so much as a hair out of place.) And as this week's Superstar, she's Exhibit A that a true style standout can be less about what you wear than it is about how you wear it.

And illustrating this concept in the other direction: Mary-Louise Parker, who wore the most delicious dress of the week at the American Ballet Theater opening night in NYC this week. But even this stunner of a gown can't fully eclipse the visual snag of that straggly, doing-nothing hair that's tumbling over her shoulders. And in a dress like this, that's saying something.

'Beautiful Creatures' Stars Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann Recall Their Rat-Infested Date

Just yesterday, "Beautiful Creatures" director Richard LaGravenese raved about the talented young cast he's assembled for the big-screen adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Southern gothic novel. And today, stars Emmy Rossum and Thomas Mann are proving just how true those words are by divulging their totally method preparation for the project.

In the supernatural saga due out February 13, 2013, Emmy plays a seductive siren who uses her wiles to woo mere mortal Link, played by Thomas. Which isn't a task that takes all that much talent—he's a teenage boy, after all. But that's beside the point.

When we caught up with the pair at Comic-Con, they spilled a story about the not-so-romantic, getting-to-know-each-other date they took, walking alongside the Mississippi River. Sure, it sounds like all hearts and stars and candy kisses...but that before Emmy and Thomas were joined by a dozen unwanted, twitchy-nosed guests.

Miley Cyrus Goes Girly P.I. In 'So Undercover' Trailer

Miley CyrusThere's nothing more fun than a Tough Girl Goes Glam movie (we don't care what you say, "Miss Congeniality" is a work of ART and GENIUS), and today brought some good news for fans of the oeuvre: Miley Cyrus, fresh on the heels of a very busy summer, will be starring in a college-aged take on this favorite trope! The trailer is out; the movie is "So Undercover," featuring Miley as a teenage private eye who's assigned by the FBI to protect a college student whose family has ties to the mob.

As you might guess by its title modifier, "So Undercover" revolves around sorority life—and true to its genre, it'll require Miley's streetwise character to undergo a highly entertaining and major transformation from tomboy teen to glam girl. (Also required: at least one scene in which the newly made-over Miley goes buns-over-teakettle 'cause she can't walk in high heels. This has to happen, or the very fabric of the universe will rip apart.)

And since a movie like this requires a cast of fun friends to round it out and give it some edge, let's note with approval that Jeremy Piven and Miley's real-life ladyfriend Kelly Osbourne will be playing supporting roles. Oh, yeah, there's also that hunky dude from "Revenge." NBD.

Style Superstar: Kate Bosworth Racks Up One In The Win Column

Watch the sky for flying pigs, and keep an eye out for snowballs in hell: Diane Kruger missed the mark with a red-carpet look this week, allowing another actress to edge her out for Style Superstar honors and marking what may well be the end of the world as we know it. (Or maybe she was just having an off day. Still: WE'RE SCARED.) Both Diane and Kate Bosworth donned shiny-stiff column dresses for events, but it's Kate who wore it best and wins the day. How'd that play out? Scroll down for deets.

Kate, our Style Superstar, was aglow in this Stella McCartney number—and while column dresses are a challenge to wear, this is how it's done. Though the length could be a little better (read: shorter), Kate managed to pick a dress whose shimmery palette was perfectly matched to her skin, along with a complementary coral-colored lipstick and sparkly nude heels with whisper-thin straps. And she's so statuesque, she can work this stiff, straight up-and-down silhouette like a boss. Well-played, Kate!

Meanwhile, the usually-flawless Diane Kruger sported a similarly shaped Chanel number in bold cobalt and black—but unlike just about everything else she's worn, ever, this dress fails to flatter her. The elongated rectangular pattern reinforces the already-blocky silhouette, and on Diane's petite frame, it looks like she's wearing a haute-couture barrel. But since her accessories are flawless (that gold clutch is to die for), we'll chalk this up to a rare miss rather than the end of an era of fashion dominance.

'Vampire Diaries' Season Four Premiere Recap: 'Growing Pains'

Hollywood Crush

'Vampire Diaries' Season Four Premiere Recap: 'Growing Pains'

Vampire Diariesby Cassie Title

It's been so long (five whole months!) since we’ve last seen new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" that I’ve started to become delusional. Seriously, guys. When I read the season four premiere title, "Growing Pains," I was convinced it was an adage to that '80s-'90s sitcom. And when I started watching, I was all like: Where’s Kirk Cameron? Where’s Alan Thicke? Where’s 16 year-old homeless Leo? If you think about it, it’s not that crazy of a thought. I mean, Simon Camden did turn into a werewolf on this show. But sadly, the title was no reference to the Seavers. It was just about the obvious: namely, Elena’s transition to becoming a VAMPIRE.

Yes, yes. Homegirl’s a bloodsucker now. It’s all very exciting.

What else was exciting? Let’s see.

Apparently, I didn't need to remind you of the five things you should remember before the premiere, because the show actually did it for me! That whole, "For a century, I’ve lived in secret..." beginning voiceover was replaced with something that was actually really efficient, covering basically everything up to the end of last season. It was like the best 30 second recap I’ve ever seen in my life.

Lights were getting all freaky around Elena. This is not actually important, but it made me wonder. Why were the lights getting weird when Jeremy and Elena spoke? Was it just part of the craziness that was her mind while she was transitioning? Wait! Elena, can you do things with YO MIND now? Does she have MAGIC POWERS? One can only hope...

Damon was pissed, obviously. He needed to just get over it. It was sweet that he wanted Elena to grow old and have a life and whatever, but considering how many times this girl almost died, he had to know that she couldn’t escape it for that much longer. He was so pissed, actually, that he tried to kill Matt, who he felt should’ve died instead of Elena, before he was stopped by some people; I think it was Meredith and Liz?

A new vampire hunter came to town. Honestly, these Mystic Falls Founders Council hooligans need to just get a life. You are not protecting people from the right vampires. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. Just stop trying to fight them; I am going to die of boredom! I’m talking to you, Pastor Young. You are mad creepy, yo. I know you’re all important and your daughter’s going to be a character but you kidnapped Elena to keep her safe with you, and then when you thought she might be a vampire you locked her up with Rebekah and Stefan (in separate cages, of course) in your cattle ranch, which was convenient. And then, after Stefan and Rebekah tricked a guard into getting his head knocked against the bars of the cell, and then everyone escaped, you gathered all these council members I’ve never seen and decided to light everybody on fire to enter another world or something. That was just crazy, man. Should "Pastor" Young really be called "Freaky Cult Leader" Young? Like, what did you just do? I’m pretty sure everyone’s still going to be alive, so I’m quite interested to see.

Elena became a full-fledged vampire. After Stefan knocked that guard’s head, he started bleeding. And Elena, on the verge of dying 'cause she had no blood, pitifully reached, and reached, and reached, and then finally got some nourishment. And then she went outside and got all vamp mad at Damon, who was about to try to kill Matt, again. (He didn’t. Elena saved him.)

But not before Elena remembered everything Damon compelled her to forget! This was big, folks. The remembering was very cool; she actually saw the scenes replaying! And she saw when Damon told her he loved her. And she remembered that they met first! And she asked him why he didn’t tell her! And it was almost epic! But then it was just the same old Damon being selfish thing, and how Elena’s not okay with that, and how Damon knew that it wouldn’t have even mattered if she had known. What a virtuous vampire, Elena is. Slash what a lame one.

Stefan and Elena basically exchanged vows. She told him she had chosen him, they said they loved each other, and then after they escaped the cells, they sat on a roof, sappy music in the background, and I’m pretty sure Stefan slipped her daylight ring on as if he was proposing (despite the fact it was the middle finger).

Bonnie's in serious trouble with the witches for using dark magic. She tried to save Elena from the cages (she was supposed to be going to the other side and bringing her back from the dead, but it was really back from the cattle ranch), but Grams(!) showed up and warned her to stop. Except, she didn’t. Klaus forced her to do some dark magic again when he started ripping Tyler’s heart out. So, she returned him to his body, and Tyler was safe, but then Grams started desiccating, which freaked Bonnie out, except Grams is already dead, so I’m a little confused as to why it was such a big deal.

Klaus is still a jerk. Caroline and Rebekah were captured and restrained, and while vampire Barbie's bondage ensued (get it! ‘cause they were in bondage, and they were bonding!), Klaus as Tyler caused a commotion on the road to save Caroline, who still thought he was Tyler (don’t worry, it was cleared up later. But not before they almost had HOT HYBRID SEX in the woods!) He called Rebekah "sister," so she knew it was Klaus, and then after he got his body back, he snapped her neck in his mansion. Why does he still care so much about hybrids when he has Rebekah? HE HAS A FAMILY I DON’T GET IT.

Jeremy pretended to care that Bonnie was dying. He pretended, you see, because Jeremy OBVIOUSLY likes his ladies dead. Duh.

Pastor Freak took over the council. Both Liz and Carol have been demoted from their town positions. Wow, I’m so scared, I’m shaking in my knees. Not.

Check out the cast talking about their characters' season four challenges!

Is Elena going to get cool now that she’s a VAMPIRE? What are the spirits going to do to Bonnie? What is Pastor Freak’s deal? Is Elena going to struggle more with her decision now that she remembers and her emotions are going to be heightened? Will Matt stay human? Will Jeremy stay human? (Is Jeremy even human? Can he still see dead people? Spoilers say something’s going on with him...) Do you miss Alaric already? Will Katherine ever come back? Where art thou Elijah (I should probably know, but I forget)? I’m thinking that's it for now. There was probably more, but it didn’t excite me. But if it excited you, tweet about it, or comment below! Your opinions matter. Fo sho.

'Twilight' Cast, 'Glee' Clubbers, More: Who Are The Biggest Comic-Con Poseurs?

Hollywood Crush

'Twilight' Cast, 'Glee' Clubbers, More: Who Are The Biggest Comic-Con Poseurs?

With New York Comic-Con on the horizon, we're warming up our nerdmuscles for this days-long celebration of glorious geekery—and so are a fair few of your favorite celebrities, who will join the hordes of cosplayers, memorabilia collectors and pop culturalists to promote their related projects. But beware, y'all: some famous people are only pretending to be geeks! A sordid truth which MTV News' Josh Horowitz uncovered when he put them to the test in a little feature we like to call "Geek or Poseur?"

For instance: Michelle Williams might be an Oscar-nominated actress times three, but she can't name the dish that the Avengers chow down on on their post-credits secret scene. The stars of "Twilight" have no idea what the titles are of the three "Hunger Games" books (seriously, no solidarity with the second-biggest YA lit-turned-giant-cinema-franchise? Shameful!) And little Mackenzie Foy can name her "Twilight" character, but ask her to spell it and...well.

But there may be hope for these sad poseurs yet; at least 50 percent of them can do a very passable Batvoice, so we'll call it a win. RELUCTANTLY.

Which of these celebs do you think is the biggest geek? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Gets In Bed With Screenwriter

'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Gets In Bed With Screenwriter

Fifty Shades of GreyHere's hoping Kelly Marcel is up to Christian Grey's exacting standards!

Universal Pictures and Focus Features announced today that the bosses behind the big-screen adaptation of E.L. James' sextastic "Fifty Shades of Grey" have selected the "Terra Nova" scribe to pen the film's script.

Dinosaurs would clearly never fit into Christian's Red Room of Pain, but it sounds like Kelly won over producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti with another screenlplay: "Saving Mr. Banks," which tells the story of Walt Disney's decades-long pursuit of the film rights to "Mary Poppins," and will star Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson.

With producers and a screenwriter now tied down (heh), the next step will likely be finding a director. But, of course, the recruits we're aching for most are Christian and Ana themselves. With everyone from Ian Somerhalder to Lucy Hale fancasted as the film's kinky lovers, this will be one fun process indeed.

Are you excited that "Fifty Shades" now has a screenwriter? Who are you shipping for Christian and Ana? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!

'The Diviners' Is A Roaring Good (And Spooky!) Read

Hollywood Crush

'The Diviners' Is A Roaring Good (And Spooky!) Read

After exiling us to an island with a boatload of bodacious "Beauty Queens," author Libba Bray is trading in the tiaras for feathered fascinators in her latest novel, "The Diviners" (out now).

It's the Roaring Twenties and our pretty protagonist is Ohio teen Evie O'Neill, whose uncanny ability to suss out people's deepest, darkest secrets is more than just a silly parlor trick. But when her gift leads to one party foul too many, her parents ship her out to the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple to live with her Uncle Will, the curator of the Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult.

Evie's arrival in Manhattan coincides with a string of unexplained murders—murders that have a smell of the supernatural thanks to a mysterious symbol that appears on the body of each victim. When Evie's uncle is called upon by the police to offer his expert insights, Effie realizes she can use her gift to help solve these grisly killings.

Along the way, she meets a colorful cast of characters (no surprise in a city like New York!), creating a far bigger, interwoven narrative. There's the loner museum assistant. The Harlem ticket runner. The Ziegfeld show girl. They'll all play a part in the battle of good versus evil that is just beginning to sweep across the country in this series' first installment.

If I could use only one word to describe "The Diviners" (a word count I've obviously surpassed hundreds-fold) it would be "evocative"—both in style and substance. Libba's eery descriptions of shuttered mansions and far-flung cemeteries were spine-tingling enough to make me almost pee my pants a few times, while her narrative nails the mores of 1920s Manhattan—right down to the jaunty, jazzy slang. Which, I do have to admit, got a little wearisome at times. But it's all Jake! Pos-i-tute-ly!

It's probably no coincidence that this very cinematic novel has already found a home at a movie studio—Paramount purchased the film rights this summer on behalf of Fake Empire (otherwise known as the duo behind "Gossip Girl.") So if Evie's luck is as swell as we think it is, she'll be making her grand theatrical debut posthaste.

A Brief History Of 'Twilight' Stars Singing On The Soundtrack

Hollywood Crush

A Brief History Of 'Twilight' Stars Singing On The Soundtrack

In case you missed it, the full track listing for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" soundtrack dropped yesterday, and as any fangirl worth her O-negative could have guessed, the album is a mix of high-profile artists (Green Day), indie acts (A Boy and His Kite) and previous players (Christina Perri). Then there's Nikki Reed.

The "Twilight" actress and husband, former "American Idol" contestant Paul McDonald, will contribute the song "All I've Ever Needed" to the album. The actress took to Twitter yesterday to thank fans for their support: "We worked so hard! It's so exciting!" she wrote.

Of course, Nikki isn't the first saga star to bite into one of the movie's soundtracks. That honor goes to everyone's favorite brooding bloodsucker Robert Pattinson, who had not one but two numbers featured in the first installment.

"Never Think," a melancholy ballad, served as the backdrop to Edward and Bella's pasta date at a Port Angeles Italian restaurant, while the more rock-laden "Let Me Sign," accompanied Bella's vampire venom-induced visions following her attack by James.

For his part, Robert had no idea the songs were to play an integral role in the film until an early screening with director Catherine Hardwicke, who had been secretly slipped Rob's recordings.

“When I went to see the cut she’d put these two songs in," Robert told the L.A. Times back in 2008. "They’re old songs, but one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there. It’s strange because what was supposed to be at that point in the movie was a big orchestral film climax. Instead it’s this little song with acoustic guitar. I’m singing it, maybe that makes it different, but it’s kind of overwhelming. I hope it’s overwhelming.”

Another series star didn't turn up on a "Twilight" track until "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but that didn't stop the speculation. We, along with fans, couldn't help but wonder whether Jackson Rathbone and his band, 100 Monkeys, would swing onto an album. So, well, we asked.

"It could happen. It could happen," Jackson told us. "It's one of those things, you know. We don't push it. But, hey, if we were approached, we wouldn't say no."

Jackson's inclusion seemed all the more likely when director Bill Condon told us in 2011 at San Diego Comic-Con that an actor or actress could appear on the soundtrack. But that honor instead went to newcomer Mia Maestro, whose "Llovera" accompanied Bella and Edward's honeymoon dip.

"I was working on my album while I was shooting the movie," Mia explained to Latina magazine. "Everyone was aware that I was finishing my record and Bill Condon wanted to hear it. He did and he really loved it and he said he was going to see if there was any part in the film where he could find placement for it."

Which brings us to 2012. Back in March, when MTV News exclusively debuted the video for Nikki and Paul's "Now That I've Found You," the "Twilight" starlet revealed that Paul was working on music for potential inclusion on the finale's soundtrack.

"Paul has been speaking with them about potentially attempting to write something," Nikki said. "Nothing is set in stone. He will be working on songs to submit. It would be a great, great thing. The music supervisor [Alexandra Patsavas] on that, as well as Bill Condon, have great taste."

"It's very preliminary," Paul confirmed. "It's kind of one of those things. I write all the time."

All that writing apparently paid off!

We're Obsessed With 'Pitch Perfect' Star Rebel Wilson

Hollywood Crush

We're Obsessed With 'Pitch Perfect' Star Rebel Wilson

by Jessica Marshall

Welcome to Obsessed, a new weekly feature in which we shamelessly gush about our latest pop-culture preoccupation. This week, we're fangirling over "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson.

If I knew actress Rebel Wilson in real life, we'd totally be BFFs. She says she likes theme parks, mermaids and pink backgrounds on her Twitter page. Those three things define my very existence. She's a hardcore rapper who Shooped with Ellen—a secret fantasy of mine. And since I saw her kick off her shoe in a fit of passion, almost killing Bryan Cranston while belting Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" on the "Tonight Show" earlier this week, I'm officially obsessed with her.

This Australian comedienne is blowing up in America these days, with large-in-charge roles in hit movies like "Bridesmaids," "Bachelorette" and most recently as Fat Amy in "Pitch Perfect." She's getting a lot of buzz this week in particular from her hilarious talk show appearances promoting "Pitch Perfect." One of them being the aforementioned shoe hurling that made Lady Gaga almost pee her pants.

She's big, she's bold, she's super blonde, and I can't help but think that she looks like a much prettier female version of Jonah Hill. Her schtick is comedy gold—self-deprecating humor in the form of outlandish comments and acts performed so honestly that it literally shocks you into laughing. But it thankfully lacks that pesky Jonah Hill/Seth Rogen/Judd Apatow aftereffect of making you feel extremely uncomfortable. Instead, you find yourself inspired by her candor. She makes you well aware that she is well aware of her limitations, physically or otherwise, and she kinda just pushes past them. If they don't matter to her, they don't end up mattering to her audience. Case in point, why her "Pitch Perfect" character, Fat Amy, calls herself Fat Amy. So you don't have to. She's not trying to be something she's not, as she recently pointed out in a tweet:

@RebelWilson ATTN guys who don't think I'm hot: um, NEWSFLASH! I'm not trying to be hot. I'm just trying to be a good actress and entertain people.

Love that attitude, Rebel. Srsly, can we be friends? Please???

And she's not only a performer, she's also a talented writer and producer. She's currently drumming up a pilot for "Super Fun Night," a comedy series slated for ABC. She will star alongside two yet-to-be-named gals as three friends who try their darnedest to have a night of "super fun" every Friday. Sounds like my weekly routine already!

If you haven't yet witnessed the talents of Ms. Wilson, it's high time you did. She's so hot right now.

Get An Early Read On First Two Chapters Of Andrea Cremer's 'Rise'

By now, it's no secret that we're unabashed junkies for Andrea Cremer's wild high-fantasy world of witch wars, wolf warriors and weird creepy horrors that lurk in the dark. (See: various fawning posts from this very blog in which we reveal covers, peep excerpts and generally flail like unhinged nutbags over all things Knights of Conatus.) And if you, too, have been salivating for a fantasy fix after reading the first book in her prequel to the "Nightshade" series, then you'll like this next part: Hollywood Crush has an EXCLUSIVE sneak preview of the first two chapters of book No. 2, "Rise"!

In "Rift," the first book to explore the centuries-old conflict that eventually gave rise to "Nightshade" and the Witches' War, 16-year-old Ember journeyed to the Conatus headquarters to join the ranks of its fierce magical warriors. But in "Rise," Ember's training may all be for naught; evil has poisoned the order, and our heroine is on the run. Who will triumph in the epic battle to come? What horrors will she find lurking beneath the castle keep? And, most importantly, why are you still reading our nonsensical blathering when you could be reading "Rise"?! Yeah, that's what we thought. Do it.

Click here to download the first two chapters from "Rise"!

"Rise" hits bookstores January 8, 2013.

It's Date Night On 'New Girl'

Here's one for all you Jess and Nick shippers. Though the "New Girl" stars told us recently that their characters probably won't be committing to each other (romantically) anytime soon, Zooey Deschanel did tweet out this intriguing tease of tonight's episode.

We'll have to tune in to find out what sort of date this actually is, but we do know from last week's casting scoop that Nick will find love—at least temporarily—with guest star Olivia Munn, while it looks like Jess will continue casually with cutie David Walton.

'Glee' Gains A New Warbler In Nolan Gerard Funk

There's been no shortage of fresh faces on the third season of Fox's hit "Glee," with Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist in particular adding some welcomed heat to the song-and-dance series. And now comes news of another hot addition: TV Line reports that Canadian actor-singer Nolan Gerard Funk is moving to Lima, Ohio.

Nolan, who you may recognize from the Nickelodeon TV movie "Spectacular!" or the recently released Jennifer Lawrence horror pic "House at the End of the Street," is set to play new Warbler Hunter. Unsurprisingly, the frontman is eyeing a Nationals win and will attempt to lure Blaine back to Dalton Academy to clench the title. Considering Blaine's realization last week that he's essentially alone at McKinley, it might not be such a difficult task.

Nolan will make his debut during the season's seventh episode, "Dynamic Duets."

Like 'Looper'? 6 Time-Travel Tales You Should Read

Hollywood Crush

Like 'Looper'? 6 Time-Travel Tales You Should Read

Did you, like us, leave the theater this weekend befuddled, bemused and slightly bewildered by "Looper"? Did you engaged in endless conversations about the logic of time travel...and how creepy that little kid was? If so, you might be jonesing for a fresh follow-up that scratches your sci-fi itch (that is what that unsightly rash is, right?). To wit, Hollywood Crush writer Kat Rosenfield and I are here to offer up our list of literary faves lending their own twist to the well-worn time-travel trope (no DeLorean necessary).

"Tempest," by Julie Cross

Probably the closest in theme and tone to Rian Johnson's time-travel thriller, "Tempest" tells the tale of teen Jackson Meyer, who following the murder of his girlfriend, Holly, involuntarily jumps back two years—unable to return to his present. Part action-adventure, part romance, Jackson must outrun shadowy agents known as "Enemies of Time" while ensuring Holly doesn't meet the same harrowing fate all over again. —AW

"Slaughterhouse Five," by Kurt Vonnegut

Whether you read it as an allegorical musing on fatalism and free will, or as one man's absurdist (and possibly hallucinogenic) time travelogue, Vonnegut's tale of a hapless soldier and alien abductee who experiences his life out of order is one of the few works of science fiction to appear on pretty much every literary best-of list ever written. Following a man named Billy as he travels back and forth through time, visiting himself in moments both mundane and pivotal, "Slaughterhouse Five" will leave you with a lot of questions and a headache—as every good time-travel story should. —KR

"The Time Traveler's Wife," by Audrey Niffenegger

Be sure to stock up on the Puffs Plus before delving into Niffenegger's 2003 debut—you're gonna need 'em. Dashing librarian Henry DeTamble was born with a genetic disorder (Chrono-Displacement) that causes him to involuntarily time travel, beginning at the tender age of five. In his late twenties, he meets artist Clare Abshire, but Clare met Henry long ago—he began visiting her as a child, revealing they would one day be together. Henry's affliction causes no shortage of problems for the couple, leaving readers to discover whether the couple's love truly can stand the test of time. —AW

"The House on the Strand," by Daphne du Maurier

Dick Young, a listless and unhappy man, seeks solace at the English country home of biophysicist friend Magnus Lane—and in the wild, mysterious lives of a couple who lived centuries ago. Experimenting with a psychotropic drug developed by Magnus, Dick finds his consciousness projected back to the 1400s, where he observes but cannot alter the tragic love affair between the sophisticated Lady Isolde and the steward who adores her. As his addiction to visiting the past grows, he risks his life and his sanity to see the story through to its end. —KR

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," by Ransom Riggs

To dive too deeply into the era-warping particulars of Riggs' eye-popping tome would be to spoil the narrative, methinks, but suffice it to say, a mysterious orphanage in which time seems to have stood still plays a big part in the tale of 16-year-old Jacob as he tries to solve the murder of his beloved grandfather. —AW

"11/22/63," by Stephen King

King's first foray into straight-up sci-fi, 11/22/63 is the story of a man who discovers that history can, in fact, be changed—and becomes obsessed with trying to do just that. Using a wormhole that transports its traveler back to the fall of 1958, he embarks on a mission to stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy, in the hopes of making the future a better and more peaceful place. A change of pace for the prolific author, the book is an ambitious and inventive work that still contains plenty of King-issue scares and suspense. —KR
