'Fallen' Finds Its Leads
Dust off your halo and fluff up those wings, angels—we've got some heavenly casting news for you. According to Deadline, the long-gestating big-screen adaptation of Lauren Kate's young-adult novel "Fallen" has landed two leads: Addison Timlin and Jeremy Irvine!
Addison, whom you may recognize from Showtime's "Californication," will play Luce, while Jeremy of "War Horse" fame will portray Luce's enigmatic love interest Daniel.
Author Lauren took to her blog to hype the news, writing, "Their audition tapes are thrilling. I know you are going to love them on the big screen. Stay tuned for a Cam announcement..." SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
For the uninitiated, "Fallen" centers around shy Luce, who after being suspected of killing a classmate is shipped off to an out-of-the-way boarding school in Savannah, Georgia. There she meets the mysteriously dreamy Daniel...who wants nothing to do with her. Or so it seems, as Daniel is actually working to protect secrets that could cost Luce her life.
This otherworldly tale is the first in a four-part book series, followed by "Torment," "Passion" and "Rapture." Better get reading fast folks, we could have a celestial film franchise in the making!
