Is 'The Host' Just 'The Notebook' With Aliens?
Wait... waaaaait: Before you pelt us with spoiled fruit, no, we do not think the Stephenie Meyer-penned adaptation and the weepy drama are the same movie. Or even very similar, for that matter. But it sure is hard to tell from the latest one-sheet posted to Yahoo! Movies, which depicts stars Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons in an intimate, rain-soaked embrace, calling to mind all those similarly styled Nicholas Sparks movie posters that came before it.
And, just to be clear, that's not a complaint.
Because, after all, while there's plenty of action and intrigue in the sci-fi drama (which hits theaters March 29), at its heart, "The Host" is all about the love shared by two of the last surviving humans on Earth—and the lengths they'll go to to be together. Which, come to think of it, kind of does sound like something Nicholas Sparks' great-great-great grandson would pen in the year 2312.
Check out all three new posters over at Yahoo! Movies.
