'Catching Fire' Kindling: Coldplay Releases 'Atlas,' Advance Ticket Sale Date Set

With just 12 weeks until "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" blazes into theaters, Lionsgate has kicked off its "TickTock" countdown, promising new goodies each week until the film's November 22 release date. Today's morsel: the release of Coldplay's soundtrack single, "Atlas."

The track marks the first time the Grammy-winning band has recorded an original song for film. And in signature style, they've delivered a single that is soaring yet melancholy, which pretty perfectly captures heroine Katniss Everdeen's standing by the end of this second installment. But that's not all, Peeta People: Lionsgate also revealed the on-sale date for advanced tickets. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 1 at 12 p.m. ET, and while you're at it, bookmark Fandango or MovieTickets.com.
