'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Gets In Bed With Screenwriter

Fifty Shades of GreyHere's hoping Kelly Marcel is up to Christian Grey's exacting standards!

Universal Pictures and Focus Features announced today that the bosses behind the big-screen adaptation of E.L. James' sextastic "Fifty Shades of Grey" have selected the "Terra Nova" scribe to pen the film's script.

Dinosaurs would clearly never fit into Christian's Red Room of Pain, but it sounds like Kelly won over producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti with another screenlplay: "Saving Mr. Banks," which tells the story of Walt Disney's decades-long pursuit of the film rights to "Mary Poppins," and will star Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson.

With producers and a screenwriter now tied down (heh), the next step will likely be finding a director. But, of course, the recruits we're aching for most are Christian and Ana themselves. With everyone from Ian Somerhalder to Lucy Hale fancasted as the film's kinky lovers, this will be one fun process indeed.

Are you excited that "Fifty Shades" now has a screenwriter? Who are you shipping for Christian and Ana? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
